In last month’s integration of the 10 second miracles, we talked about getting into the numbers and looking for common denominators. I stated that I was going to do that through a survey. This month I will take what I have learned in the surveys to give webinars. I joined GIN this month and my survey was about discovering your Friday Night Essence (Level 1 integrations). The survey through five groups of questions attempted to take a person from where there are today to where they wanted to be. I tried to determine if people had their own business or not and if they were happy in the business that they had. The majority of responders didn’t have their own business but did have a business that they wanted to start. Creating values by creating new products was tied with as a common denominator those who didn’t fit one of my business choices. Of those specified others, the most common response was a hair and nail salon. Inadvertent, I was starting to use some of the secret coded messages that Mark talked about in the level three marketing secrets.
The results of the survey show that of those that did have a business 34% of the responds were still running the business and are enjoying the business. 26% of the respondents are still running the business but don’t enjoy it. 26% of the respondents are not running the business anymore but did enjoy it while they were running the business. 13% of the respondents that are no longer running the business quit the business because they didn’t enjoy running the business. I asked each person taking the survey how important mentoring, online training, network and group discussions were to them in regards to starting or running a business. The common denominator between all groups is networking is the most important. Each group of those running/not running, enjoying/not enjoying or wanting to start a business placed differing priorities on the other parts but in general on a five point scale (1 not important to 5 very important) most of the factors are above a 3. The most negative group is those that are running a business but don’t enjoy it.
I fit into the category of those that have run a business and enjoyed it. Two of these categories reflect seekers: those who want to start a business and those that have had a business and enjoyed it. These are the people that want something more but are unsure how to get it. My webinars next week are going to be on creating your dream book. The dream book integrates concepts from the GIN community. The goal of my survey has always been to learn what people want, to gain GIN prospects and to sell GIN memberships. The webinars will have a similar purpose. I was able to get two memberships sold this month and I have nine prospect names generated from the survey. Those that took the survey came from Internet Marketing that I initiated this month. I hope to bring more prospects in through the use of the webinars. My survey is posted at survey.leedahl.com.
