Two weeks of no electronic communication – and only rare generator supplied electricity helps one both appreciate the comforts of modern society, as well as a renewed appreciation of friendships – including those I camped with – and those who weren’t there. I am learning from your presentations, even though I have some residual hostility towards marketing people due to how they tend to cover up or ignore problems. My presentations on Buddhist Psychology, Skillful Means & Anger as well as the one on trauma have been pushed back a couple of weeks. While no firm date has yet been set, (should have it in a day or two)it seems like mid October will be the dates. Perhaps the most difficult concept you have presented for me to accept is that value creation is always associated with more money. Of course I was extremely angry at the way I was treated by the so called justice system – among other things having to choose between dying in jail (in Los Angeles)on misdemeanor charges some 23 years ago, and the cover-ups which followed. Despite the physical, and emotional harm I received, Los Angeles did benefit from actions I took following this and other abuses, although I received only the scantness of recognition for my efforts. Buddhism helped me achieve peace within, which is more valuable than money. But it is time for the next step. Perhaps large amounts of money will come from my efforts, but even if not, it will still be worthwhile.
